Marilyn Davis is the founder and CEO of MDD Connections, LLC, a boutique public affairs and strategic communications firm rooted in the values of trust, authenticity, and impact. With more than 30 years of experience across federal and state government, corporate America, organized labor, and political campaigns, Marilyn brings a rare blend of insight and influence to every client she serves.

She began her career in public service on Capitol Hill, working for members of Congress from South Carolina, New Jersey, and Georgia. From there, she transitioned to state government, learning firsthand that “all politics is local” while serving as an aide in the New Jersey State Legislature. Marilyn’s expansive career spans executive leadership roles in state government, corporate boardrooms, and grassroots community organizing. She has worked at the intersection of policy, politics, and people, always focused on driving meaningful change.

Her career highlights include senior roles at the U.S. Department of Labor, leadership within national political organizations, participation in five presidential campaigns, and advising Fortune 500 companies on government affairs and community engagement.

Known for her deep national network, sharp political instincts, and unmatched ability to “connect the dots,” Marilyn founded MDD Connections to help clients build powerful partnerships, tell compelling stories, and achieve strategic outcomes. She brings a personalized, high-touch approach to every engagement—whether shaping legislation, crafting a campaign, or convening a room full of decision-makers.

A sought-after speaker and advisor, Marilyn is a proud alumna of the Congressional Black Caucus, the Obama Administration, and the Democratic National Committee. She is a respected leader in civic engagement circles and a committed mentor to the next generation of changemakers.

In 2025, Marilyn graduated from The Campaign School at Yale University and is also a graduate of the NASDAQ Milestone Circle program, which supports women entrepreneurs in scaling their ventures.
